Why automated vulnerability scanning is not enough
Automated scanners generate hundreds of pages of low-confidence alerts while missing the vulnerabilities that matter most: broken object-level authorization (BOLA/IDOR), multi-step business logic flaws, session fixation, and privilege escalation vulnerabilities that can only be discovered through skilled manual penetration testing.
Our VAPT methodology combines thorough automated discovery with deep manual exploitation. We test application logic, API parameter handling, and trust boundaries exactly as a motivated adversary would, strictly within mutually agreed rules of engagement.
In-scope testing environments
| Domain | Testing Scope & Target Assets | Standard Testing Focus |
|---|---|---|
| Web Applications | Customer portals, admin consoles, SaaS platforms, multi-tenant web apps | Authentication bypass, injection flaws (SQLi, XSS, SSRF), access control violations, session hijacking |
| REST & GraphQL APIs | Backend microservices, mobile API gateways, public integration endpoints | Broken object-level authorization (BOLA), mass assignment, rate limiting, token forgery (JWT flaws) |
| Cloud Infrastructure | AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments, container clusters (K8s) | IAM privilege escalation, public S3/Blob storage exposure, SSRF to cloud metadata, misconfigured VPC peering |
| Mobile Applications | Android (APK/AAB) and iOS (IPA) client applications | Insecure local data storage, hardcoded secrets, weak cryptographic implementations, certificate pinning bypass |
